Karate Robot Zaborgar is awesomely fucking insane, but you know that already, don’t you?
God I hate this drawing so much I messed up everything that could be messed with. Don’t even know why I bothered to color it, specially since I tried to do the greys with hatching, so it just looks weird?
Then again, whatever. That’s part of learning and shit.
Some sketches for a mostly scrapped concept, wanted to do an urban fantasy thing. The idea was mostly Megg from Girl Mountain if she were Constantine. I like the overall look, but the feeling right now is too much of a straight Hanselmann rip-off (I don’t even know why I put a bucket bong there, never used one in my life), got to fiddle around with it way more before it becomes a thing of its own.
It turns out doing sexy is hard as shit.
Second page for the Pulp story, which at this pace will most likely not make it to this issue. Ah well, there’s always April. I took the first draft of the script, ironed out some pacing issues I had and improvised over it, later I’ll have the writer make dialogue to fit and we’ll see what happens, there’s a high chance I’ll redo this page too but whatever.
A lot of mistakes as always, and the phone’s text looks stupid, but other than that I think it looks slightly better than the last.
I found a scan of the pencils for that Chiri Kitsu fanart that I murdered with the G-Pen back then, and decided to have a digital go at it.
This is my first time inking with vectors! I used Inkscape and I’m convinced I did something horribly wrong. I mean, I like how it came out, but my standards are astonishingly low, specially since the measuring stick is the other inks of this. Ah well, practice makes acceptably mediocre, as they say.
Sample page for my upcoming strip in Premier Pulp, I was gonna do a lettering sample with it but my copy of Adobe decided it hated me and Inkscape is not eager to help at all. In fact, I made this page without even having a script, so most likely I’ll have to re-do it from scratch. Still, I’m semi-conformed by how it came out, other than those damn hands and the faces being somewhat constantly morphing.
Same sketch from before, inked with mostly brush… Gonna get started with the pages any moment now…
My brother’s been playing lots of New Vegas so I got in a retro mood. So here’s a cowboy/50’s girl. Been trying to develop her into a full character, all I got so far is that she has a cheerful, upbeat personality, that her name is Veronica (friends call her Ronnie), and that she rides a rocket missile like if it were a bike. Maybe I’ll finish her up one day.
Jesus fuck this took me forever to ink and it looks like shit, I’d been so long since the last time I used the tablet that it was like the first time (The hands and such suck, too, but that’s from the bigger problem of me being a hack rather than specifically being a hack with a tablet). Hopefully I’ll manage to practice more this year. Hopefully.
A pencil sketch of the same character, trying to get the hand of him.
